GREENSBORO, N.C. (Interstat) — A tightly contested Southern Conference women’s basketball race brings a key rematch to Greensboro Coliseum on Thursday, Feb. 12, 2026, as the UNC Greensboro Spartans host the Wofford Terriers. Both teams enter with nearly identical records and plenty at stake. UNC Greensboro (13-11) sits at 13-11 overall, just a game ahead of Wofford (12-11) in the conference standings. The Terriers won the first meeting 61-59 in Spartanburg on Jan. 17, a result that will undoubtedly fuel the home team. Wofford is led by dynamic guard Gabby Mundy, who is playing at an elite level. She scored a career-high 32 points in last Saturday’s 67-63 win over Chattanooga and was instrumental in the first win over UNCG, posting 22 points, six rebounds and five assists. Over her last seven games, Mundy is averaging 22.1 points. The Spartans, mired in a three-game losing streak, seek a turnaround. They have struggled offensively during the skid, failing to reach 65 points. Guard Mia Simpson, who had 16 points in the loss at Samford, will be counted on for a spark. Jeni Levine (12 points, five rebounds, five assists vs. Samford) and Jaila Lee (15 points) provide additional scoring options. For Wofford, support for Mundy has come from Molly Masingale and Maddie Heiss, who combined for 20 points and 11 rebounds against Chattanooga. UNC Greensboro will need a stronger defensive effort after allowing Samford to shoot 46% in its last outing. The matchup hinges on whether UNCG’s defense can contain Mundy and ignite its own transition game, or if Wofford’s star can deliver another commanding performance to complete the regular-season sweep. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. EST.
