HADLEY, Ky. (Interstat) — The Kennesaw State Owls visit the Western Kentucky Lady Toppers on Thursday afternoon in a women’s NCAA Division I basketball matchup at E.A. Diddle Arena, with both teams looking to build momentum in the final stretch of the regular season. Kennesaw State (10-11) enters with a winning edge in the recent series, having defeated Western Kentucky 78-64 at home just over a month ago on Jan. 4. The Owls are coming off a 64-58 victory over Liberty on Feb. 7, led by a strong performance from guard Keyarah Berry. Berry, a player to watch, scored 17 points with six rebounds in that win and is averaging 13.3 points per game over her last seven contests, including a 31-point outburst against New Mexico State on Jan. 24. Western Kentucky (5-17) seeks to end a prolonged slump, having lost nine consecutive games since its last win on Jan. 10 against UTEP. The Lady Toppers are looking to bounce back from a 75-52 road loss to Missouri State on Feb. 7. Forward Mya Pratcher, who had nine points, three rebounds and two assists in that contest, will be a key figure for the home team. The Owls have shown a potent offense at times, scoring 83 points in a win over UTEP last month, but have struggled with consistency. Western Kentucky’s challenges have been more pronounced, particularly on the defensive end, allowing an average of 71.2 points during its nine-game skid. This contest represents a critical opportunity for both squads. Kennesaw State aims to climb above .500 and carry confidence into a tough road game at Middle Tennessee on Saturday. Western Kentucky desperately needs a win to halt its slide before hosting Jacksonville State this weekend. Tipoff is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 12, 2026, in Hadley.
