HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (Interstat) — A surging Marshall squad will look to continue its climb in the standings when it hosts a struggling Georgia State team in a women’s NCAA Division I basketball game on Thursday, Feb. 12, 2026. The Thundering Herd (20-6) enter the contest at the Cam Henderson Center having won four of their last five, including an 88-81 road victory at Central Michigan last Saturday. Marshall’s offense is powered by guard Timaya Lewis-Eutsey, who is coming off a career-high 36-point performance. Over her last five games, she is averaging 27.2 points and 6.2 assists per contest. They face a Georgia State Panthers team (9-15) mired in a three-game losing streak, most recently a 62-81 defeat at Louisiana-Monroe on Feb. 4. The Panthers have relied heavily on the scoring of guard Crystal Henderson, who has topped 20 points in four of her last seven outings, including a 27-point effort in a win over Appalachian State on Jan. 17. The matchup pits one of the conference’s top offenses against one of its most vulnerable defenses. Marshall has scored 80 or more points in six games this season, while Georgia State has allowed 80 or more points in seven of its 15 losses. Marshall won the first meeting between the teams this season, 77-65, in Atlanta on Jan. 7. Lewis-Eutsey led all scorers with 24 points in that game, while Henderson was held to 14 for Georgia State. The Thundering Herd will look to protect their home court, where they are 11-2 this season. The Panthers, just 3-9 in road games, will need a standout performance from Henderson and improved defensive intensity to snap their skid. Following this game, Marshall will host Arkansas State on Saturday, Feb. 14. Georgia State travels to face Appalachian State on the same day.
