Preview: Air Force Falcons at Nevada Wolf Pack Women’s Basketball RENO, Nev. (Interstat) — Two Mountain West teams heading in opposite directions will meet Wednesday night when the Air Force Falcons visit the Nevada Wolf Pack at Lawlor Events Center. Air Force (11-12) arrives with momentum, having won three straight conference games, including a 65-64 victory over Grand Canyon last Saturday. The Falcons’ recent surge has been fueled by guard Milahnie Perry, who is averaging 24.3 points over her last three contests. She scored 26 points in the win over Grand Canyon and poured in 31 in a narrow loss to Colorado State last month. Nevada (7-16) seeks to halt a seven-game losing streak. The Wolf Pack’s last win was a 70-60 overtime victory against Wyoming on Jan. 7. Guard Skylar Durley has been a bright spot during the skid, averaging 13.7 points over the last six games. She scored 20 points and grabbed eight rebounds in a close loss to Boise State on Feb. 4. The Falcons won the season’s first meeting decisively, 61-45, at home on Dec. 20. In that game, Air Force held Nevada to 29% shooting from the field. For Air Force, continuing its winning formula will hinge on Perry’s offensive production and limiting turnovers. The Falcons have shown resilience in close games, with their last two wins coming by a combined four points. Nevada, struggling to find consistent offense, will need a strong defensive effort at home to disrupt Air Force’s rhythm and create transition opportunities. The Wolf Pack have failed to reach 60 points in any game during their current losing streak. Wednesday’s matchup is the only scheduled meeting between the teams in Reno this season. Following this game, Air Force will host San Jose State on Saturday, while Nevada will welcome San Diego State. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. PST.
