Preview: Ohio Bobcats at Toledo Rockets TOLEDO, Ohio (Interstat) — A tight Mid-American Conference women’s basketball race brings a key rematch to Savage Hall on Tuesday night as the Toledo Rockets host the Ohio Bobcats. The Rockets (12-9) won the first meeting this season, 75-66, in Athens on Jan. 24. Both teams enter with nearly identical overall records, with Ohio at 13-9, making this a pivotal game for conference positioning down the stretch. Ohio seeks to avenge its earlier loss and snap a two-game skid after falling 84-76 to Old Dominion on Feb. 7. The Bobcats have been inconsistent in conference play, mixing decisive wins with narrow losses. Guard Bailey Tabeling is a player to watch for Ohio. She scored 15 points in the first matchup against Toledo and is coming off an 11-point, five-rebound, four-assist performance against Old Dominion. Over her last eight games, she has averaged 13.1 points. Toledo, however, has had Ohio’s number recently and arrives with momentum after a 76-67 victory over Southern Mississippi on Feb. 7. That win was powered by a dominant performance from forward Faith Fedd-Robinson, who posted 20 points and 15 rebounds. Fedd-Robinson was instrumental in the Jan. 24 win over Ohio, finishing with 16 points, eight rebounds and six assists. Her inside presence and versatility will be a primary focus for the Bobcats’ defense. The game will feature contrasting styles. Ohio will look to Tabeling and its perimeter game, while Toledo will aim to establish control inside with Fedd-Robinson, who has averaged 13.9 points and 9.3 rebounds over her last seven contests. Both teams have struggled for consistency in 2026, but a road win for Ohio would provide a major boost and split the season series. For Toledo, protecting its home court is essential to maintaining its standing above the Bobcats in the MAC. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. EST at Savage Hall.
