Preview: Towson Tigers at North Carolina A&T Aggies GREENSBORO, N.C. (Interstat) — The Towson Tigers visit the North Carolina A&T Aggies in a women’s NCAA Division I basketball matchup on Friday, Jan. 30, 2026, at Corbett Sports Center. Towson (11-8) looks to rebound from a 68-45 road loss at Drexel last Saturday. The Tigers had won three of their previous four games prior to that defeat. Guard India Johnston, the team’s focal point, scored 14 points in the loss to Drexel. She is coming off a 24-point performance in a 58-55 win over Hofstra on Jan. 23 and has averaged 15.4 points over her last seven contests. North Carolina A&T (7-11) seeks to end a two-game skid after falling 71-62 at College of Charleston last Sunday. The Aggies’ offense has been paced by Chaniya Clark, who scored 16 points in that loss. Clark has been a consistent scorer, averaging 18.3 points over a recent three-game stretch, including a 20-point, 7-rebound effort in a 70-57 win over Hampton on Jan. 18. The Tigers have shown resilience in close games this season, with four of their 11 wins coming by four points or fewer, including a 47-46 victory at Hofstra on Jan. 9. Their offense, however, has been inconsistent, scoring 55 points or fewer in four of their eight losses. The Aggies have struggled to find consistent form but have shown flashes, such as an 84-83 double-overtime win at Northeastern on Jan. 9. Defense has been an issue, as they have allowed 67 points or more in five of their 11 losses. This contest opens a critical late-January stretch for both teams as they navigate their conference schedules. Towson will travel to face Elon on Sunday, Feb. 1. North Carolina A&T will visit Hampton on the same day. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. EST Friday at Corbett Sports Center on the campus of North Carolina A&T State University.
