Preview: Harvard Visits Princeton in Key Ivy League Women’s Basketball Clash PRINCETON, N.J. (Interstat) — A surging Princeton squad, ranked nationally, looks to continue its dominant season when it hosts a Harvard team seeking a statement road win in Ivy League women’s basketball action Monday afternoon at Jadwin Gymnasium. The Tigers (15-1, 3-0 Ivy) have won 10 consecutive games, most recently a 69-41 rout of Dartmouth on Saturday. Their lone loss came in overtime at George Mason on Dec. 20. Princeton boasts the conference’s top defense, allowing just 54.6 points per game. Harvard (9-7, 2-1) arrives with momentum after a 53-42 road victory at Penn on Saturday, which snapped a two-game skid. The Crimson have shown resilience but face their toughest league test yet. Princeton is led by guard Ashley Chea, who scored 16 points in 30 minutes against Dartmouth. She has averaged 12.8 points over her last four contests, providing consistent scoring alongside Skye Belker (14 points vs. Dartmouth). For Harvard, forward Abigail Wright has been a standout. She is coming off a 20-point performance in 36 minutes in a narrow loss to Columbia on Jan. 10 and has averaged 16.8 points over her last four games. Her ability to score and rebound (9.0 rebounds per game in that stretch) will be critical against Princeton’s formidable frontcourt. The Tigers won both meetings last season by an average of 18 points. Harvard’s last win in the series came in February 2022. Monday’s contest is the first of two regular-season matchups, with the rematch scheduled for Feb. 28 in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Following this game, Princeton travels to Brown on Saturday, while Harvard visits Cornell on Jan. 24.
