Preview: Oklahoma State Cowgirls at Texas Christian Lady Frogs FORT WORTH, Texas (Interstat) — A marquee Big 12 women’s basketball showdown featuring two of the nation’s hottest teams is set for Wednesday night when the Oklahoma State Cowgirls visit the Texas Christian Lady Frogs at Dickies Arena. Both teams enter with impressive resumes. TCU (14-1), whose only blemish was an 87-77 overtime road loss at Utah on Jan. 3, has dominated its schedule with an average margin of victory of 32.5 points in its wins. Oklahoma State (13-3) has won 10 of its last 12, coming off an 83-52 rout of Houston where it forced 27 turnovers. The matchup pits two of the conference’s top guards against each other. TCU is led by dynamic junior Olivia Miles, who is averaging 22.2 points and 8.0 assists. She posted a season-high 31 points in the loss to Utah and has recorded three double-doubles in her last five games. Oklahoma State counters with sophomore Jadyn Wooten, a versatile playmaker coming off a near triple-double against Houston with 21 points, seven rebounds and eight assists. Over her last five games, Wooten is averaging 14.6 points and 5.4 assists. The game represents a significant early conference test for both squads. TCU’s high-powered offense, which has scored 77 or more points in 12 games, will challenge an Oklahoma State defense that has held 10 opponents under 60 points. The Cowgirls will need to contain Miles and forward Marta Suárez, who scored 23 against Utah, while finding offensive production beyond Wooten. Achol Akot, who had 11 points and nine rebounds against Houston, will be key inside. While a home game for TCU, it will be played off-campus at the 14,000-seat Dickies Arena, potentially mitigating some home-court advantage. The Lady Frogs have not played at the venue this season.
