WEST POINT, N.Y. (Interstat) — A surging Howard women’s basketball team will look to extend its win streak against a formidable Army squad when the Lady Bison visit the Black Knights at Christl Arena on Monday, Dec. 29, 2025. Howard (10-5) enters on a three-game winning streak, most recently defeating Saint Bonaventure 76-64 on Dec. 20. The Lady Bison have shown resilience in close games, with four of their last five victories coming by six points or fewer. Army (8-2) presents a significant challenge, boasting a strong defensive identity and an impressive 5-0 record at home this season. The Black Knights have not played since a dominant 76-52 road win at Cornell on Dec. 9, giving them a long period to prepare. A key matchup will feature Howard’s offensive sparkplug, Ariella Henigan, against Army’s disciplined defense. Henigan is coming off a season-high 19-point, four-assist performance against Saint Bonaventure and has been a critical facilitator during the win streak. She will need to navigate an Army defense that has held opponents to an average of 54.2 points per game at Christl Arena. Howard’s offense also runs through Zennia Thomas, who scored 22 points in the last outing, and Zoe Stewart. They will face an Army team led by a balanced scoring attack. In their last game, Camryn Tade (17 points, six assists), Taylor Wilson (16 points, three blocks) and Reese Ericson (17 points) all powered the victory. Wilson’s rim protection will be a focal point against Howard’s drivers. The game marks the final non-conference tune-up for both programs before league play begins in January. Howard will embark on a MEAC schedule, while Army opens Patriot League action. For the Black Knights, this is a chance to solidify their resume with a quality win against a 10-win opponent. For the Lady Bison, it’s an opportunity to secure a statement road victory against one of the region’s top defensive teams and carry major momentum into the new year. Tip-off is set for Monday afternoon at historic Christl Arena on the grounds of the U.S. Military Academy.
