TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (Interstat) — A West Georgia team seeking consistency will face a Florida A&M squad desperate for its first win when the women’s basketball programs meet Sunday at the Alfred Lawson, Jr. Multipurpose Center. The visiting Wolves (5-4) are coming off a record-setting 116-21 rout of Wesleyan on Wednesday but have struggled against higher-caliber competition, including a 44-point loss at Florida on Dec. 14. West Georgia has shown it can win comfortably, as seen in victories over UNC Wilmington and Western Carolina, but has yet to string together consecutive wins against Division I opponents this season. Player to watch for the Wolves is guard Gal-la Font, who scored 16 points in 24 minutes in the win over Wesleyan. Her production has fluctuated, however, with scoreless outings in two of her last five games. West Georgia’s offense runs more efficiently when Font and backcourt mates Sydne Tolbert (14 points, 6 assists vs. Wesleyan) and Grace O’Gara are contributing. The home-standing Lady Rattlers (0-9) are still searching for their first victory under first-year head coach
