(Interstat) — Two teams riding winning streaks will meet Sunday when the Brown Bears host the Monmouth Hawks in a nonconference women’s basketball matchup at the Pizzitola Sports Center. Brown (7-4) enters on a two-game win streak, most recently a 70-60 victory at Merrimack on Dec. 9. The Bears are led by guard Grace Arnolie, who has been a consistent offensive force. The game pits Brown’s high-scoring backcourt against Monmouth’s defensive resilience. The Hawks have held three of their last five opponents under 50 points. Containing Arnolie will be a primary focus for Monmouth, while Brown must navigate Amaro’s distribution and the Hawks’ pressure defense. Both teams are building momentum before their respective conference schedules intensify in January.
