(Interstat) — The Quinnipiac Bobcats look to return to the win column and improve their early Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference positioning when they host the struggling Manhattan Lady Jaspers in a women’s NCAA Division I basketball game Friday. Tipoff is set for Friday, Dec. 19, 2025, at the TD Bank Sports Center. Quinnipiac (5-4) enters the matchup seeking to rebound from a 63-55 home loss to Maine on Dec. 14. The Bobcats had previously won three straight games, including decisive road victories over Cornell (68-47) and Boston College (76-49). A key to their success has been the play of guard Ella Ryan, who is averaging 15.6 points over her last five contests. She scored 17 points in the loss to Maine. Manhattan (0-9) remains in search of its first victory of the season. The Lady Jaspers are coming off a 71-54 loss at NJIT on Dec. 7, their ninth consecutive defeat to open the campaign. Their season has been marked by offensive challenges, including a 38-point performance in a loss to Columbia on Dec. 3. A bright spot for Manhattan has been forward Colette Mulderig, who is coming off a season-best 19-point, five-rebound effort against NJIT. She will be a focal point for the Lady Jaspers’ offense as they face a Quinnipiac defense that has held three opponents under 50 points this season. Historically, Quinnipiac has dominated the series, winning the last 15 meetings. The teams will meet again in Riverdale, New York, on Jan. 24. For Manhattan, this game opens a difficult stretch to conclude 2025, with a home game against Fairfield looming on Dec. 29. Quinnipiac continues a busy December with a road game at Marist on Dec. 21. The Bobcats are heavily favored at home, where they are 3-2 this season, while the Lady Jaspers have played all nine of their games on the road so far. Manhattan’s defense, allowing an average of 68.2 points per game, will be tested by a balanced Quinnipiac attack that features multiple scoring options beyond Ryan.
