Florida Atlantic (5-5) enters seeking consistency after alternating wins and losses over its past six games. The Owls are coming off an 80-63 home defeat to Florida International on Monday. Guard Vivian Onugha has been a bright spot, scoring 18 points in that loss and averaging 13.1 points over her last seven games. The game presents a stark contrast in momentum. Massachusetts’s only blemish is a narrow road loss, while the Owls have struggled to stack victories, with their last winning streak being a two-game span in late November. This contest is part of a multi-team event in Miami. Massachusetts will remain in the city to face Youngstown State on Saturday, while Florida Atlantic has a quick turnaround against Florida International, also on Saturday.
