Preview: Tarleton State Texans vs. Buffalo Bulls ABILENE, Texas (Interstat) — The Tarleton State Texans will look to continue their winning momentum when they face the Buffalo Bulls in a nonconference women’s basketball game Friday at Kimbrell Arena. The Texans (5-4) enter on a three-game winning streak, including a 94-73 victory over TAMU-San Antonio on Dec. 7. Guard Gia Adams has been a steady catalyst during the run, averaging 10.8 points and 3.8 assists over the last four contests. In the win over TAMU-San Antonio, Elodie Lutbert added 15 points and five blocks, while Shadasia Brackens led all scorers with 19 points. Buffalo (2-7) seeks to halt a two-game skid after a 71-58 loss at Binghamton on Dec. 6. The Bulls have struggled offensively, failing to reach 60 points in five of their losses. They will rely heavily on forward Meg Lucas, who has been a dominant force on the boards. Lucas recorded double-doubles in three of her last four games, including a 14-point, 15-rebound performance against Binghamton. The game presents a contrast in recent form. Tarleton State has found its rhythm after early-season setbacks against Power Five opponents Texas Christian and Texas A&M. Buffalo’s victories have come at home against Niagara and Fordham, but they have faced difficulty on the road, going 0-4 away from New York. This is a standalone neutral-site contest for both teams before each continues a busy stretch. Tarleton State will remain in Abilene to face Montana on Saturday. Buffalo will travel across town to play Abilene Christian on Saturday. Tipoff is scheduled for Friday, Dec. 19, 2025.
