HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. (Interstat) — Robert Morris rallied from a fourth-quarter deficit to defeat Northern Kentucky 60-58 in a Horizon League women’s basketball game Sunday at Regents Hall. The Colonials, who led by 12 after the first quarter, were outscored 19-7 in the third and trailed entering the final period. A 23-point fourth-quarter surge secured the road victory. Taysha Rushton led Northern Kentucky with 14 points, while Maddie Moody added 10 points and nine rebounds. Robert Morris improved to 6-2 overall. The Norse fell to 3-8. Attendance was 1,322.

(Interstat) — A surging Robert Morris women’s basketball team looks to continue its strong start when it visits struggling Northern Kentucky in a Horizon League matchup Sunday at Regents Hall. The Colonials (5-2) enter with momentum from a 73-71 road win at Mercyhurst on Wednesday. Robert Morris has won three of its last four, with the only losses coming on the road to Eastern Michigan and Pittsburgh of the ACC. Northern Kentucky (3-7) seeks to halt a two-game skid after falling 70-60 to Green Bay at home Thursday. The Norse have lost seven of their last nine, though they secured an overtime victory over Southern Indiana on Nov. 30. A key matchup will feature Robert Morris forward Myriam Traore against Norse guard Mya Meredith. Traore is coming off a near double-double with 14 points and nine rebounds against Mercyhurst, part of a stretch where she has scored in double figures in three of her last five games. Meredith has been a consistent scorer for NKU, reaching double figures in five of her last seven contests, including an 18-point performance at Ball State. Robert Morris has shown balanced scoring.
