Summary
PHILADELPHIA (Interstat) β Katie Collins scored 20 points to lead Penn to a 65-52 victory over La Salle in a nonconference womenβs basketball game Sunday at The Pavilion. The Quakers (7-3) built a 29-18 halftime lead and withstood a 22-point third quarter from the Explorers (6-3). Penn responded with 20 points in the final period to secure the win. Collins, a 6-foot-1 guard from Manasquan, New Jersey, added three assists and two blocks in 37 minutes. Tina Njike added 14 points for Penn. La Salle was led by Aryss Macktoon with 15 points and Ashleigh Connor, who contributed 12 points and seven assists. The Explorers have lost two of their last three games.
