EASTON, Pa. (Interstat) — Two teams seeking momentum will meet Sunday when the Lafayette Leopards host the Marist Red Foxes in a nonconference women’s basketball game at Kirby Sports Center. The Leopards (4-5) have dropped two straight, including a 69-61 loss at Fairleigh Dickinson on Thursday. They will look to leading scorer Teresa Kiewiet to ignite their offense. The guard is averaging 21.8 points over her last four games, including a 24-point performance in the most recent defeat. Marist (2-6) arrives struggling, having lost four consecutive games by an average margin of 27.5 points. The Red Foxes are coming off a 63-37 home loss to Miami (Ohio) on Nov. 29, where they shot just 23.2% from the field. Guard Lexie Tarul, who scored a season-high 13 points in Marist’s last win on Nov. 16, will be a key player as the team searches for offensive consistency. Lafayette holds a slight edge in record and has shown offensive flashes, notably in a 76-59 road win at Pittsburgh on Nov. 25. Marist’s victories this season are narrow, coming in overtime against Holy Cross and by four points against Stony Brook. This matchup represents a final nonconference tune-up before both teams dive into their respective league schedules in January. Lafayette will visit Rutgers on Dec. 20, while Marist travels to Binghamton on Dec. 13. Tipoff is set for Sunday, Dec. 7, 2025, in Easton.
