Preview: Bucknell Bison at Dartmouth Big Green HANOVER, N.H. (Interstat) — The Dartmouth women’s basketball team looks to rebound from a narrow home loss when it hosts Bucknell at Leede Arena on Sunday. The Big Green (3-2) fell 59-57 to Merrimack on Tuesday, despite 13 points from guard Nina Minicozzi. Dartmouth’s season has been marked by volatility, with a 98-33 rout of Division III Colby-Sawyer bookended by a pair of 24-point road losses to Albany and a two-point home defeat to Merrimack. Bucknell (3-5) arrives seeking consistency after a challenging early schedule. The Bison are coming off a 65-62 overtime loss to Albany on Monday, their second consecutive defeat. In that game, Reese Zemitis and Tuana Coskun each scored 18 points. Zemitis, a key player for the Bison, has been a bright spot. She is averaging 13.6 points per game and scored 21 in a road win at Hofstra on Nov. 22. Her matchup with Dartmouth’s Minicozzi, who is averaging 12.0 points per game, will be pivotal. Dartmouth holds a home-court advantage, having won two of three games at Leede Arena this season. Bucknell is 1-3 in true road games, with its lone win coming at Hofstra. This non-conference contest represents a final tune-up before both teams enter extended breaks. Dartmouth does not play again at home until Dec. 30 after this game, while Bucknell’s next home game is Dec. 20. The series history between the two programs is limited. They last met in 2019, a 70-58 victory for Dartmouth in Hanover. Tip-off is scheduled for Sunday afternoon. Following this game, Dartmouth travels to face NJIT on Thursday, while Bucknell is off until hosting Gwynedd Mercy on Dec. 20.
