ST. GEORGE, Utah (Interstat) — The Utah Tech Trailblazers look to rebound from a home loss when they host the struggling New Mexico State Aggies in a nonconference women’s basketball game Saturday. The Trailblazers (4-3) fell 67-52 to McNeese State on Tuesday at Burns Arena. Brie Crittendon led Utah Tech with 15 points in the loss. New Mexico State (1-6) arrives seeking to end a five-game skid. The Aggies lost 69-59 at Southern Utah on Thursday, despite 15 points from Imani Warren and 13 from Lucia Yenes. Their only win this season came against Division II N.M. Highlands. Utah Tech has shown resilience at home, posting a 4-2 record in St. George this season. New Mexico State is 0-5 in road and neutral-site games. The Aggies have struggled offensively, failing to reach 50 points in four of their six losses. Utah Tech’s defense will aim to extend that trend. This is the first meeting between the programs. Following this game, Utah Tech hosts UC Santa Barbara on Dec. 13. New Mexico State returns home to face Western N.M. on Dec. 14. Tipoff is set for Saturday at Burns Arena.
