DE WITT, N.Y. (Interstat) — The Saint Bonaventure women’s basketball team looks to rebound from a narrow road loss when it visits struggling Le Moyne in nonconference play Saturday at Ted Grant Court. The Bonnies (7-3) enter on the heels of a 70-76 defeat at Saint Louis on Wednesday, a game in which they were led by Olivia DiFranco’s efficient 16 points in just 17 minutes. DiFranco, a player to watch, has provided a recent scoring spark, averaging 10.0 points over her last two contests. Saint Bonaventure has shown resilience, winning five of its last seven games. Its offense has been potent at times, scoring 87 points in a win over Valparaiso and 74 in a season-opening victory at Niagara. Le Moyne (1-6) seeks to halt a five-game skid following a difficult 28-100 loss at Illinois last Sunday. The Dolphins’ season has been marked by a challenging schedule, including road games against power-conference opponents Baylor, Pittsburgh and Illinois. A bright spot for the Dolphins has been guard Eli Clark, who is averaging 11.1 points per game. Clark scored a season-high 20 points in Le Moyne’s lone win, an 82-79 overtime victory at Lafayette on Nov. 9, and added 17 in a narrow overtime loss to Cornell. The Dolphins will need a significant defensive improvement, having allowed an average of 88.7 points during their current losing streak. Saint Bonaventure will aim to exploit that, relying on a balanced attack that has seen multiple leading scorers this season. This is the first meeting between the programs. Following this game, Saint Bonaventure continues its road stretch at Mercyhurst on Dec. 12. Le Moyne faces another major test, visiting Marquette on Dec. 14. Tipoff is scheduled for 2 p.m. EST.
