JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (Interstat) — The Coastal Carolina Chanticleers will look to carry a dominant offensive performance into a nonconference road test against the Jacksonville Dolphins in a women’s NCAA Division I basketball game Saturday. The game tips off at 2 p.m. EST at Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena. Coastal Carolina (5-4) enters riding a three-game winning streak, including a 108-57 rout of Gardner-Webb on Sunday. Kinsea Grimes led that charge with 25 points and 11 rebounds, while Tracey Hueston added 23 points and 12 rebounds. The Chanticleers have averaged 99.3 points during their streak. Jacksonville (5-1) presents a stiffer challenge, coming off a 70-63 road win at Florida A&M on Tuesday. Mychal White scored 22 points in that victory. The Dolphins’ only loss this season was a 100-55 defeat at Florida, but they boast a resume-building 69-64 win at Georgia Tech. The matchup pits Coastal Carolina’s recent offensive explosion against a Jacksonville team finding ways to win close games, including an overtime victory against Charleston Southern to open the season. Following this game, Coastal Carolina will host UNC Greensboro on Dec. 10. Jacksonville travels to face TCU on Dec. 14.
