FULLERTON, Calif. (Interstat) — The Hawaii Warriors and Cal State Fullerton Titans will look to halt losing streaks when they meet in a nonconference women’s basketball game Saturday at Titan Gymnasium. Hawaii (4-3) enters having dropped three straight, including a 76-57 home loss to Santa Clara on Nov. 30. Imani Perez and Izzy Forsyth each scored nine points in that defeat. The Warriors began the season 4-0 but have struggled offensively during their skid. Cal State Fullerton (2-5) is also seeking momentum after falling 73-62 to Loyola Marymount on Nov. 29. Cristina Jones led the Titans with 20 points in the loss. Fullerton’s two wins this season came against Hope International and Pacific. The game is a final nonconference tune-up for both programs before Big West Conference play begins in January. Hawaii holds the better overall record, but will make a lengthy road trip to Southern California. In their last outing, the Titans saw Jones, a guard, log 33 minutes while forward Dylan Swindle added nine points and three assists. Hawaii’s Perez, Forsyth and Ritorya Tamilo combined for 25 points in their most recent contest. Tipoff is set for Saturday, Dec. 6, at Titan Gymnasium.
