CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (Interstat) — The Stony Brook Seawolves visit the Harvard Crimson in a nonconference women’s basketball matchup on Friday afternoon at Lavietes Pavilion. Both teams enter looking to move above the .500 mark in their final outings before extended breaks. Stony Brook (3-6) is coming off a dominant 85-38 home victory over New Jersey City on Monday. Johanna Potter, Nal’la Bennett and Diaka Berete combined for 50 points in that win. The Seawolves’ season has been inconsistent, with their other two victories coming against Molloy and Rutgers. Harvard (5-5) defeated Holy Cross 61-46 on Wednesday, led by Saniyah Glenn’s 14 points and Katie Krupa’s 12 points and six assists. The Crimson have shown resilience, with an overtime road win at Boston College and a notable 18-point victory at Arkansas last month. The game represents a final tune-up before league play begins next month. Stony Brook opens Coastal Athletic Association action on Jan. 2, while Harvard starts Ivy League play on Jan. 3. After Friday, Stony Brook does not play again until hosting Saint John’s on Dec. 10. Harvard’s next game is against Maine on Dec. 21.
