DAVIS, Calif. (Interstat) — The UC Davis women’s basketball team, riding a three-game winning streak, will host a slumping Hawaii squad in a nonconference game Thursday at The Pavilion at ARC. The Aggies (6-2) are coming off an 81-72 road victory at Milwaukee on Saturday. Ryann Bennett led the way with 19 points and seven assists, while Megan Norris added 17 points. UC Davis has won five of its last six. The Warriors (4-3) have dropped two straight, including a 76-57 home loss to Santa Clara on Sunday. Imani Perez and Izzy Forsyth each scored nine points in the defeat. Hawaii’s offense has struggled in its losses, failing to reach 60 points in any of its three defeats this season. This is the final tune-up for both teams before each begins a stretch of games against future Big West Conference opponents. Hawaii opens its league schedule on Jan. 1 against UC Riverside, while UC Davis starts at Cal State Northridge the same day. Thursday’s matchup will be the first meeting between the programs since the 2023 Big West tournament. The Aggies have won the last four contests.
