NEW ORLEANS (Interstat) — The Missouri State Lady Bears, riding a strong start to the season, will visit the Tulane Green Wave in a nonconference women’s basketball matchup on Thursday, Dec. 4. The game at Devlin Fieldhouse pits teams on different trajectories. Missouri State (6-2) arrives with momentum after a 77-56 road victory over Coppin State on Sunday. Cady Pauley led the way with 23 points, supported by Lainie Douglas’s 19 points. The Lady Bears’ two losses came against Florida State and Tulsa during a recent road swing. Tulane (3-4) looks to rebound on its home court after a narrow 81-76 loss at Boise State last Friday. Mecailin Marshall scored 21 points and Kanija Daniel added 20 in that defeat. The Green Wave’s season includes a win over Elon but also a 30-point loss to LSU. The Lady Bears have shown consistency, with their only setbacks coming against power conference opponent Florida State and a Tulsa team that also defeated Tulane earlier this season. The Green Wave will rely on its top scorers, Marshall and Daniel, to challenge a Missouri State team averaging over 69 points per game. This contest is the final nonconference tune-up for Tulane before it hosts New Orleans on Dec. 14. Missouri State continues its road stretch before hosting Kansas on Dec. 7.
