STOCKTON, Calif. (Interstat) — The Sacramento State Hornets visit the Pacific Tigers in a nonconference women’s basketball game Thursday night at the A.C. Spanos Center. Sacramento State (5-4) looks to rebound from a 92-49 road loss to California Baptist on Nov. 29. Jaety Mandaquit and Rubi Gray led the Hornets with 7 and 11 points, respectively, in that defeat, which was part of a three-game skid after a 5-1 start. Pacific (3-4) enters on a two-game winning streak following a 70-63 home victory over Jacksonville State. Nyah Lowery scored 11 points off the bench, while Daria Nestorov added 9 points and 6 assists for the Tigers. The Hornets have relied on a strong home court (4-1) but are 1-3 on the road. The Tigers are 3-2 at home this season. This is the final nonconference tune-up for both teams before extensive breaks. Sacramento State hosts Simpson on Dec. 15, while Pacific travels to San Diego State on Dec. 7.
