NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Interstat) — The Lipscomb women’s basketball team will look to snap a three-game skid when it hosts Tennessee-Martin on Thursday night at Allen Arena. The Bisons (2-5) are coming off a 68-55 road loss to Tennessee Tech on Monday. McKayla Miller scored 14 points and Molly Heard added 16 in the defeat. Their two wins this season came against non-Division I opponents Johnson and Sewanee. The Skyhawks (1-4) are also seeking momentum after a tough start. They fell 64-60 in overtime at UTEP in their most recent game on Nov. 22. Kenley McCarn and Zakheria Thompson each scored 15 points in that contest, with McCarn dishing five assists. Tennessee-Martin’s lone win was a 79-39 victory over Fisk on Nov. 16. Both teams have struggled offensively early in the season. The Skyhawks are averaging 61.6 points per game, while the Bisons are putting up 65.1 per contest. This is the first meeting between the programs since 2019. Lipscomb will continue its homestand Sunday against Tennessee State, while Tennessee-Martin visits Arkansas State on Saturday.
