OVIEDO, Fla. (Interstat) — The UCF Knights look to continue a strong start when they host the surging Stetson Hatters in a nonconference women’s basketball game Wednesday at CFE Arena. UCF (6-2) is coming off a narrow 57-56 road victory over Rice on Friday, led by a 27-point performance from guard Leah Harmon. The Knights have won four of their last five. Stetson (5-2) enters on a three-game winning streak, most recently defeating Saint Louis 77-67 last Wednesday. Promise Keshi paced the Hatters in that contest with 14 points, nine rebounds and three blocks, while Mary McMillan added a game-high 24 points. The Hatters’ offense has been potent during their streak, averaging over 84 points per game. They will face a UCF defense that has held four opponents under 62 points this season. This marks the final nonconference home game for UCF before a challenging Big 12 slate begins in January. Stetson continues a five-game road swing before returning home Dec. 19. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. EST.
