LUBBOCK, Texas (Interstat) — The unbeaten Texas Tech Lady Raiders look to continue their dominant start when they host the struggling Wichita State Shockers in a nonconference women’s basketball game Wednesday night. Texas Tech (9-0) has won every game this season by double digits, most recently a 67-47 victory over North Texas on Nov. 27. Guard Bailey Maupin leads the attack, coming off a 22-point performance. Wichita State (1-7) seeks to halt a seven-game skid. The Shockers fell 83-61 at Idaho on Nov. 29, despite 12 points from forward Maimouna Sissoko. Their lone win came against Lincoln (Mo.) in the season opener. The Lady Raiders have relied on a stout defense, holding opponents to an average of 54.7 points per game. The Shockers, averaging just 59.6 points offensively, will need a significant scoring surge to challenge at United Spirit Arena. This marks the final tune-up for Texas Tech before a road test at Washington State on Dec. 12. Wichita State returns home to face Maryland-Eastern Shore on Friday.
