FORT WORTH, Texas (Interstat) — The undefeated TCU Lady Frogs host the struggling Incarnate Word Cardinals in a nonconference women’s basketball game Wednesday at Dickies Arena. TCU (8-0) has dominated its early schedule, winning by an average margin of 36.5 points. Its most recent victory was an 82-61 win over UAB on Nov. 28, led by 19 points from Marta Suárez. The Lady Frogs’ résumé includes a notable 69-59 road win over North Carolina State on Nov. 16. Incarnate Word (1-4) seeks to snap a two-game skid after falling 70-62 at Rice on Nov. 23. Gwendlyn McGrew scored 12 points in that loss. The Cardinals’ lone win came against St. Thomas on Nov. 10, and they have struggled defensively, allowing an average of 81.2 points per game. The matchup presents a stark contrast. TCU’s high-powered offense will test a Cardinals team that has faced heavy defeats, including a 123-51 loss at Texas on Nov. 3. The Lady Frogs are heavily favored to extend their perfect start before hosting UTEP on Saturday. Incarnate Word continues a difficult road stretch before returning home to face St. Mary’s on Dec. 11.
