COLLEGE STATION, Texas (Interstat) — A surging Texas A&M women’s basketball team will look to extend its strong start when it hosts a struggling Georgia Tech squad on Wednesday at Reed Arena. The Aggies (5-1) have won five of their first six games, most recently a 59-46 victory over Colorado on Nov. 25. Guard Ny’Ceara Pryor led the way with 23 points and six assists in that win. Georgia Tech (3-5) arrives seeking to halt a three-game skid. The Yellow Jackets fell 65-56 at Florida on Saturday, despite 14 points from Savannah Samuel and 10 from Catherine Alben. Their season includes narrow losses to Saint John’s and Jacksonville. Wednesday’s nonconference matchup pits Texas A&M’s balanced attack against a Georgia Tech team searching for consistency. The Aggies’ only blemish is a one-point home loss to Texas-Arlington. Tipoff is set for Wednesday night in College Station.
