EASTON, Mass. (Interstat) — The Brown Bears look to rebound from a narrow road loss when they visit the Stonehill Skyhawks in a nonconference women’s basketball matchup Wednesday night at Merkert Gymnasium. Brown (5-3) enters on a short turnaround after falling 58-54 at Lehigh on Sunday. Alyssa Moreland led the Bears with 11 points and six rebounds in that contest, while Aima Ofunrein added nine points and seven boards. The Bears had won three straight prior to the defeat. Stonehill (3-3) has been idle since a 77-48 home loss to Bryant on Nov. 22. Reese Roggenburk, Brooke Paquette and Emma Arcà each scored eight points in that game for the Skyhawks. Stonehill is 2-0 at home this season, with both wins coming by double digits. The game marks the first-ever meeting between the programs. Brown will continue its road swing at George Washington on Saturday. Stonehill’s next game is at Providence on Dec. 13.
