WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (Interstat) — The Purdue women’s basketball team looks to rebound from a narrow road loss when it hosts Evansville on Wednesday night at Mackey Arena. The Boilermakers (4-3) fell 57-55 at Central Michigan on Sunday. Tara Daye led Purdue with 14 points in the defeat. Evansville (2-5) enters with momentum after a 65-52 home win over Northern Illinois on Sunday. Logan Luebbers Palmer scored a game-high 19 points for the Purple Aces, while Sydney Huber and Camryn Runner each posted well-rounded lines with points, rebounds and assists. Purdue has won its first three home games this season by an average of 25 points. Evansville is 0-4 on the road, including a 119-43 loss at then-Iowa on Nov. 9. The game is the first of a two-game homestand for Purdue before it opens Big Ten play at Michigan on Dec. 7. Evansville continues a tough stretch of road games, visiting Saint Louis on Dec. 7. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. EST.
