(Interstat) — The South Dakota Coyotes look to rebound from their first loss when they visit the struggling Portland State Vikings in a nonconference women’s basketball game Wednesday at Stott Center. South Dakota (7-1) saw its seven-game win streak snapped with a 59-66 road loss at Wyoming on Saturday. Angelina Robles posted a double-double with 20 points and 14 rebounds in the defeat. The Coyotes’ resume includes a notable 72-71 road victory at Kansas State on Nov. 13. Portland State (2-5) is seeking consistency after a 64-94 home loss to UC San Diego on Sunday. Cici Ellington scored 20 points in that contest. The Vikings’ two wins came against Willamette and San Jose State. The matchup pits South Dakota’s strong start against a Portland State team that has faced a challenging early schedule, including road games at Colorado and Hawaii. The Coyotes will be heavily favored based on record and performance. The game is scheduled for a 7 p.m. PST tipoff.
