LINCOLN, Neb. (Interstat) — The undefeated Nebraska women’s basketball team hosts Bradley on Wednesday night at Pinnacle Bank Arena. The Cornhuskers (7-0) are off to a strong start, averaging 86.1 points per game. They are coming off a 91-82 road win at Virginia on Nov. 25, led by freshman guard Britt Prince’s 30 points and six assists. Bradley (4-3) arrives after an 80-74 home win over Abilene Christian on Saturday. Claire McDougall scored 19 points and Kaylen Nelson added 21 for the Braves, who have split their last four games. Nebraska’s defense has held opponents to 57.7 points per game on 33.2% shooting. The Huskers have won all four home games this season by an average of 41.8 points. Bradley will look to counter with its backcourt of Nelson and Tamia Perryman, who combined for 35 points and seven assists in the last outing. The Braves are 1-2 in true road games this season. This is the first meeting between the programs. Nebraska opens Big Ten play on Jan. 1. Bradley’s next game is Sunday at home against Chicago State.
