WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. (Interstat) — The surging NJIT Highlanders visit the struggling Monmouth Hawks in a nonconference women’s basketball matchup on Wednesday. NJIT (7-2) enters on a three-game winning streak, most recently defeating Lafayette 71-60 on Sunday. Olivia Kulyk scored a career-high 30 points in that victory, while Allison Cannon added a double-double with 14 points and 11 assists. Monmouth (2-4) looks to rebound after a 63-50 road loss to Fairleigh Dickinson on Saturday. Divine Dibula led the Hawks with 17 points and six rebounds in the defeat. The Highlanders have been dominant at home but face a road test. Monmouth seeks its first win against a Division I opponent since an overtime victory at Marist on Nov. 24. The game tips off at 7 p.m. EST at the Multipurpose Activity Center.
