FOUNTAIN HILL, Pa. (Interstat) — Two teams seeking consistency will meet Wednesday when the Cornell Big Red visit the Lehigh Mountain Hawks in nonconference women’s basketball. Cornell (4-4) arrives at Stabler Arena following a 54-67 loss at Wagner on Sunday. Clarke Jackson led the Big Red with 14 points in that contest. The team has alternated wins and losses over its past five games. Lehigh (3-5) snapped a two-game skid with a 58-54 home victory over Brown on Sunday. Jessie Ozzauto posted a near triple-double for the Mountain Hawks with 10 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists, while Leia Edwards added 11 points and 11 rebounds. The Big Red have relied on a defense allowing an average of 55.1 points per game. The Mountain Hawks average 64.6 points offensively but allow 71.9 per contest. This is the final nonconference tune-up for both programs before each embarks on its respective league schedule next month. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. EST.
