WASHINGTON (Interstat) — The Dayton Flyers visit the George Washington Revolutionaries in an Atlantic 10 women’s basketball matchup on Wednesday night. Dayton (4-3) arrives at the Charles E. Smith Center coming off a narrow 59-58 home win over Kansas on Saturday. Nayo Lear led the Flyers with 16 points in that victory. George Washington (3-5) is also entering on a high note, having secured an 81-67 road win at Charlotte on Saturday. Gabby Reynolds paced the Revolutionaries with 18 points, four rebounds and four assists. The Flyers have shown resilience in close games, including a road win at Xavier, but are looking for more consistency after a 92-66 loss to Butler. The Revolutionaries’ win over Charlotte marked their most impressive performance of a challenging early schedule that included overtime losses to Miami (Fla.) and setbacks against Georgetown and Temple. This contest opens the conference schedule for both teams. Dayton holds a slight edge in overall record, but George Washington will have home-court advantage as the teams begin their pursuit of Atlantic 10 positioning.
