HACKENSACK, N.J. (Interstat) — The Fairleigh Dickinson Knights look to continue a strong start when they host the Lafayette Leopards in a nonconference women’s basketball game Wednesday. The Knights (5-3) have won three straight, most recently a 63-50 home victory over Monmouth on Saturday. Ava Renninger led the way with 18 points and six assists. The Leopards (4-4) aim to rebound after a 71-60 loss at NJIT on Sunday, despite 23 points from Teresa Kiewiet. Fairleigh Dickinson has found success at the Rothman Center, going 4-1 at home this season. Lafayette is 1-3 in road games. The Knights’ current win streak includes decisive victories over NJIT and Delaware State. Lafayette’s season has been marked by inconsistency, with a notable 76-59 win at Pittsburgh followed by its recent defeat. This is the final nonconference tune-up for Fairleigh Dickinson before it begins Northeast Conference play in January. Lafayette opens Patriot League action at the end of December.
