GREENVILLE, N.C. (Interstat) — The James Madison Dukes look to extend a three-game winning streak when they visit the East Carolina Pirates in a nonconference women’s basketball matchup on Wednesday, Dec. 3. The Dukes (6-3) enter Williams Arena after a dominant 69-50 road victory at Wisconsin on Saturday. Peyton McDaniel led the way with 28 points and six rebounds, while Ashanti Barnes added 14 points and eight boards. James Madison’s current streak also includes wins over Boston College and Virginia Tech. East Carolina (4-4) snapped a two-game skid with a 72-53 home win over Hofstra last Friday. Taylor Barner scored 18 points in that victory, with Kennedy Fauntleroy and Savannah Brooks adding 11 and 12 points, respectively. The Pirates have struggled away from home but are 3-1 in Greenville this season. They will face a James Madison team that has shown potency, averaging 73.7 points during its winning streak after a 95-56 loss at Texas on Nov. 19. Following this game, James Madison will host VCU on Sunday, Dec. 7. East Carolina remains at home to face Elon the same day.
