DES MOINES, Iowa (Interstat) — A surging Lindenwood women’s basketball team will visit a struggling Drake squad on Wednesday afternoon at Knapp Center. The Lions (6-2) enter on a three-game win streak, most recently edging Vermont 58-54 on Sunday behind 15 points from Brooke Coffey and 14 from Aleshia Jones. Lindenwood’s only losses this season came against Baylor and Santa Clara. The Bulldogs (1-5) seek to halt a five-game skid. Their lone win was an 83-65 victory at Eastern Illinois on Nov. 3. Drake is coming off a 90-69 road loss to Northern Kentucky on Nov. 26, where Maggie Taylor scored 16 points. This nonconference matchup pits Lindenwood’s efficient offense against a Drake team allowing an average of 81.8 points during its losing streak. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. CST.
