NEWTON, Mass. (Interstat) — The Quinnipiac Bobcats visit the Boston College Eagles in a nonconference women’s basketball matchup on Wednesday night. Quinnipiac (3-3) enters on a high note after a dominant 77-50 home win over Colgate on Nov. 23. Anna Foley posted a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds in that victory, while Jackie Grisdale added a team-high 19 points. Boston College (4-6) looks to rebound from an 82-77 home loss to Murray State on Nov. 29. Teionni McDaniel led the Eagles with 18 points in the defeat. The Bobcats have split their last four games, while the Eagles have lost five of their last six after a 3-1 start. This is the final nonconference tune-up for both teams before each embarks on a stretch of league play. Quinnipiac begins Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference action later in December, while Boston College opens its Atlantic Coast Conference schedule on Dec. 29. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. EST at Silvio O. NEWTON, Mass. (Interstat) — Quinnipiac led from start to finish in a 76-49 victory over Boston College in a women’s nonconference basketball game Wednesday afternoon at Silvio O. Conte Forum. The Bobcats built a 38-24 halftime lead and extended it after the break, holding the Eagles to just nine points in the fourth quarter. Anna Foley, an Andover native, posted a near triple-double for Quinnipiac with 10 points, 13 rebounds and 7 assists. Sydney Ryan led all scorers with 18 points. Amirah Anderson led Boston College with 14 points. The Eagles were projected as strong favorites but struggled throughout, shooting poorly from the floor. Quinnipiac improved to 4-3. Boston College fell to 4-7 in front of 617 fans.
