LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (Interstat) — The Texas-Arlington women’s basketball team, riding a wave of momentum, will visit the Arkansas-Little Rock Trojans in a non-conference matchup Tuesday at the Jack Stephens Center. The Mavericks (4-4) enter on a two-game winning streak, including a dominant 61-39 victory over VCU in their last outing on Nov. 25. Miraya Perkins led the scoring with 11 points in that win, while Kira Reynolds added eight points and four blocks. UTA also secured a notable 61-60 road win against Texas A&M on Nov. 24. Arkansas-Little Rock (2-4) looks to build on its own recent success after snapping a four-game skid with a 51-37 win over San Diego on Nov. 29. Jordan Holman paced the Trojans with 13 points in that contest. The matchup pits UTA’s recent defensive strength, holding its last two opponents under 40 points, against a Trojans squad that has struggled offensively in its losses, including a 57-41 defeat at Arizona State. This game is the first of a two-game road trip for the Mavericks, who do not play again until visiting Rice on Dec. 12. The Trojans will host Central Arkansas on Dec. 6 in their next scheduled game. Tipoff is set for Tuesday night in Little Rock.
