TOLEDO, Ohio (Interstat) — The Toledo women’s basketball team looks to get back to .500 on Tuesday when it hosts a struggling Morgan State squad at Savage Hall. The Rockets (2-3) are returning from a weeklong break following a 69-65 road victory over Youngstown State on Nov. 25. Patricia Anumgba led the way with 18 points, while Evalyse Cole added 14 points and four assists. Toledo’s other win this season was a 66-52 home decision against Detroit on Nov. 16. Morgan State (1-8) enters on a seven-game losing streak, including a 101-39 defeat at the hands of Kentucky on Nov. 28. The Bears have struggled offensively, failing to reach 60 points in any of their eight losses. Mihjae Hayes, who scored 13 points against Kentucky, has been a bright spot. Tuesday’s contest is the first-ever meeting between the two programs. For Morgan State, it is the final game of a grueling eight-game road trip before returning home to face Maryland-Baltimore County on Dec. 6. Toledo continues its non-conference schedule at home against Northern Iowa on Dec. 6.
