PRINCETON, N.J. (Interstat) — The undefeated Seton Hall Pirates put their perfect record on the line Tuesday night against a formidable Princeton Tigers squad in a nonconference women’s basketball clash at Jadwin Gymnasium. Seton Hall (4-0) arrives in New Jersey following a thrilling 90-83 double-overtime victory over Fordham on Nov. 20. The Pirates’ high-scoring offense was led by Mariana Valenzuela (21 points) and Savannah Catalon (20 points) in the marathon win. The Pirates have won their first four games by an average margin of 24.5 points. They face a stern test in Princeton (7-1), which is riding a four-game winning streak. The Tigers are coming off a dominant 71-41 win over DePaul on Sunday, where Ashley Chea scored 22 points and Skye Belker added 15 points, eight rebounds and five assists. Princeton’s lone loss came on the road against then-Maryland on Nov. 16. The game pits Seton Hall’s potent offense against a stout Princeton defense that has held its last three opponents under 60 points. The Tigers have not lost at home this season. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. EST. Seton Hall hosts Butler on Thursday, while Princeton travels to face Belmont on Saturday.
