DURHAM, N.C. (Interstat) — Two teams seeking momentum will meet Tuesday when the North Carolina A&T Aggies visit the North Carolina Central Eagles in a non-conference women’s basketball game. The Aggies (2-4) enter the contest at McLendon-McDougald Gymnasium looking to rebound from an 85-50 home loss to North Carolina on Nov. 20. Chaniya Clark led A&T in that game with 14 points. The Aggies have shown flashes, including a 74-43 victory over Winston-Salem State on Nov. 16, but have struggled against power-conference opponents. The Eagles (1-6) are also looking to end a skid, having lost their last five games. Their most recent result was a 54-47 home loss to UNC Greensboro on Nov. 26. Morgan Callahan and Najah Lane have been consistent contributors, with Callahan posting 11 points and four rebounds in the defeat. Both teams have faced challenging early schedules, with each suffering a lopsided loss to a ranked North Carolina team. The matchup represents a chance for either squad to build confidence before the bulk of their conference schedules begin in January. The Aggies will travel to Norfolk State on Saturday, while the Eagles face a tough test at South Carolina on Sunday.
