HANOVER, N.H. (Interstat) — The Dartmouth women’s basketball team, off to a strong 3-1 start, looks to continue its momentum when it hosts Merrimack on Tuesday night at Leede Arena. The Big Green last played on Nov. 16, securing a 65-55 road victory over Siena. In that contest, Cate MacDonald posted a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds, while Nina Minicozzi led all scorers with 14 points. Dartmouth’s only blemish this season was a 65-41 loss at Albany on Nov. 10. Merrimack (2-4) arrives seeking consistency after a narrow 77-72 loss at Boston College on Nov. 25. The Warriors were led in that game by Mia Fiore, who scored 19 points. Molly Manion added eight points, seven rebounds and four assists in the defeat. Merrimack’s two wins this season came against Northeastern and UMass Boston. The game marks the beginning of a busy December for both squads. Dartmouth will host Central Connecticut on Friday, while Merrimack travels to face New Hampshire the same day. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. EST.

The Warriors, who trailed by three points with under a minute to play, closed the game on a 5-0 run in the final six seconds. Fiore finished with a game-high 16 points for Merrimack. Molly Manion added 13 points and Oralye Kiefer scored 11. Nina Minicozzi and Olivia Austin led Dartmouth with 13 and 12 points, respectively. The Big Green held a narrow lead for much of the second half before Merrimack’s late rally. Merrimack improved to 3-4. Dartmouth fell to 3-2. Attendance was 603.
