Virginia Tech dominated the most recent meeting, an 82-63 home victory on Feb. 21. Wake Forest took the first contest, 81-78, at home on Jan. 3. The winner advances to face seed North Carolina in Wednesday’s quarterfinals. For Wake Forest, which sits squarely on the NCAA tournament bubble, a victory is likely essential to keep its at-large hopes alive. Wake Forest is powered by Juke Harris, who enters on a torrid scoring streak. He dropped 31 points in Saturday’s 80-73 win over California and is averaging 26.4 points over his last five games, including a 38-point outburst at Boston College.
