LILLINGTON, N.C. (Interstat) — A Colonial Athletic Association rematch with postseason seeding implications is set for Tuesday when the Campbell Fightin’ Camels host the North Carolina A&T Aggies at the John W. Pope, Jr. Convocation Center. Both teams enter the regular-season finale looking to snap losing streaks and build momentum ahead of the conference tournament. Campbell (13-17, 8-11 CAA) has dropped three straight, including a 71-67 road loss to Towson on Saturday. The Fightin’ Camels will lean on forward Chris Fields, who scored 17 points in that defeat and had 9 points and 6 rebounds in the first meeting against A&T. The visiting Aggies (11-17, 7-12) have lost two in a row and four of their last five. They are coming off a narrow 91-88 home loss to William & Mary on Saturday, a game in which guard Lewis Walker poured in 27 points. Walker has been a consistent offensive force, averaging 20.0 points over his last seven games. He scored 17 in Campbell’s 79-71 victory over A&T on Feb. 7. In that first matchup, Campbell used a balanced attack and capitalized on 15 A&T turnovers to secure an eight-point road win. The Fightin’ Camels will aim to protect their home court and complete the season sweep. The game carries weight for positioning in the upcoming CAA Tournament. Campbell currently sits in tenth place, while A&T is in twelfth. A win for either team could shift the final standings and tournament matchups. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. EST on Tuesday, March 3.
