Preview: Rhode Island at Saint Bonaventure, Wednesday, February 25, 2026 KNAPP CREEK, N.Y. (Interstat) — Two Atlantic 10 men’s basketball teams hovering near .500 will look to build momentum for the final stretch of the regular season when the Rhode Island Rams visit the Saint Bonaventure Bonnies on Wednesday night at the Reilly Center. The Rams (15-12, 7-7 A-10) and Bonnies (14-13, 5-9) enter separated by just one game in the overall win column, though Rhode Island sits two games ahead in the conference standings. Both are coming off road losses this past Saturday. Rhode Island fell 59-46 at La Salle in a low-output performance, while Saint Bonaventure dropped a 99-94 shootout at Richmond. The matchup features a compelling contrast in backcourt stars. Rhode Island will lean on guard Myles Corey, who is averaging 13.7 points per game over his last seven contests. He posted a strong line of 14 points and eight rebounds in the loss to La Salle. For the Bonnies, guard Darryl Simmons has been a volume scorer, averaging 22.9 points over that same seven-game span. He erupted for 30 points and five assists against Richmond last time out. Rhode Island has shown resilience, winning three of its last six, including an overtime victory at then-Dayton on Jan. 27. However, consistency has been an issue, as the Rams followed that signature win with a 15-point loss at Duquesne. Saint Bonaventure has struggled to close games, losing five of its last six, with four of those defeats coming by single digits, including a two-point loss at Dayton on Feb. 3. The Rams won the season’s first meeting, 74-65, in Kingston on Jan. 3. Securing a road sweep would provide a significant boost to their conference tournament seeding. The Bonnies, seeking to protect their home court, are in urgent need of a win to halt their slide and improve their positioning before visiting George Mason on Saturday. Wednesday’s tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. EST. The game will be broadcast on ESPN+.
